About Ukulele Goes to Hollywood

This student concert features the adult and child students of Avery Hill, Artichoke's ukulele teacher. Each term, Avery's class build their repertoire with a new genre of music - this term has featured music from the movies, spanning the 20th century from Singin' in the Rain to Purple Rain.

Come join us to sing along with your favorite songs featured in movies throughout history and support the hard work of these students of our music community.

This show is free and open to the public. Donations to Artichoke Music to support its current fundraising campaign are gratefully accepted.

About Avery Hill

An active member of the Artichoke community, Avery Hill independently released her first full-length album, Dreams & Ghosts, in 2015, which has taken her to different corners of the country, including the legendary Club Passim (formerly Club 47) in Cambridge, Mass., the historic Ozark Folk Center in Arkansas, and the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas as a Finalist in the prestigious New Folk Songwriting Contest. When it's time to come home, she looks forward to teaching classes at Artichoke each week and making music with her friends.
