MISNER & SMITH--

Misner & Smith's music is a rare combination of poetic, story-filled songwriting lifted to exquisite heights by masterful vocal harmonies.

(For fans of Simon & Garfunkel, I'm With Her, Dr. Dog)

Fresh off the release of their critically acclaimed new album, All is Song, Northern California-based unclassifiable duo Misner & Smith return to Artichoke for an evening of masterful vocal harmonies and extraordinary songwriting. With All is Song they turn in their finest work to date--an album of inspired declarations to the power of music, song, and collaboration. Their live shows are no different, and the beauty of their vocal harmonies combined with truly inventive songwriting has made the band one of the most acclaimed acts in the Americana world. Blending elements of that genre with rock, traditional folk, and more pop-leaning ideas, Misner & Smith makes music gloriously nonconforming.

SON RAVELLO--

Indie folk singer/songwriter

Son Ravello is the newest project of American singer-songwriter and composer Mike Caruso. He was the lead singer/ guitarist for the Oregon based indie folk trio Kites + Crows and he went on to tour the west coast and open for bands such as John Prine, The Decemberists, Horse Feathers, Greensky Bluegrass and more. Caruso created Magnetic West Music “ a music convergence company ” and has had his music featured in TV shows such as Blindspot (NBC), The Night Shift (NBC), Reign (The CW), NatGEo Wild and more. Caruso's songwriting delivers a poetic sensibility, his fascination with sound and affinity with nature offers mellow and picturesque dynamics to his lyrics and melodies. With his signature kick drum, dynamic acoustic guitar and intimate baritone vocals, Son Ravello serves a heartwarming and meaningful repertoire, what SF Weekly calls "sweet, philosophical folk songs... an appealing, honest voice"
