In this workshop Baba Wague will teach a song in the Bambara language of Mali, West Africa, with elements of storytelling and some translation in English.  Class materials of lyric sheet and recording will be provided. 
Baba Wague is a multi-faceted artist and school director whose talents encompass storytelling, singing, dance and visual art in the spirit of hereditary traditional knowledge that he was raised with. Baba Wague is a long time resident of 25  years in Portland, originally from Bamako, Mali in West Africa where he is an active director and founder, along with his wife and artist Ronna Neuschwander of Ko-Falen School in Bamako, Mali's capital city.
