Traditional Irish singer Macdara Yeates invites you to join in on a four-week introductory course into Irish traditional singing. Taking place live on Zoom, the course will journey from Macdara's hometown of Dublin to various regions of the country to discuss different song types (ballads, laments, humorous songs etc.), a healthy dose of history and background behind each one, and a variety of different regional styles and techniques (ornamentation, tone, phrasing etc.). Macdara will also share a wide range of lyrics, field recordings, and a selection of online resources for learning from home.

We will provide ZOOM meeting details to all registered and paid students.  You must have a ZOOM account to participate.  You can use a free ZOOM account to qualify.  Download and set up your ZOOM account here.  If you are participating from another country, you should download the account in your country of origin to participate.  All are welcome.

Please note: Dara is also available for individual lessons on ZOOM.  You may email him to schedule lessons at dara.yeates@hotmail.com.  He will schedule with you individually.  PayPal is an acceptible form of payment with Dara and he will provide his payment link.
